A must stop for your journey through the Daintree. The Daintree Ice Cream Company offers both gluten and dairy free choices for travellers - my favourite being the mango sorbet. You know you are in Far North Queensland when the mango sorbet tastes as good as it did here. The various flavours to choose from make sure you there is something for everyone. I sampled the four flavour cup which included a wattle seed flavour. Still a flavour I struggle to describe.
There’s plenty of seating around the grounds. Though you will get a flurry of tours come in on little buses. Be sure to beat them to the bathroom. With tourists hurrying off to get their cup and scamping back on. Parking isn’t an issue with plenty of space even for those with caravans. We had our own car and weren’t apart of a tour. This meant we had time to sit and enjoy our choices. You will need to cross using the ferry if heading north.
