Waitress was very thorough clarifying dietary requirements for gluten free Southern Fried chicken & chips pack. I had asked for chicken salt on my chips but they were not salted and were not as crispy as I would have liked. The chicken however was so delicious, it was offered as a 3 piece pack but to my surprise they gave 4 pieces. Even my hubby who isn't coeliac was impressed with the chicken and said it was better than the Colonel's version 😆

Top notch establishment. The food was divine with plenty of gluten free options (which were equally as good with gaurentee of no cross contamination for coeliacs). I highly recommend grabbing lunch or dinner hear. Would come again

Amazing place if you are in Tenterfield for a coffee and a gluten free donut. Plenty of other options too! Lovely garden setting, super friendly staff, yummy food and drink. They have a little stand, too, with jams for sale 😊

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that not only are their ice creams all gluten free, they also offer gluten free cones and are knowledgeable about coeliac disease! They will get a fresh tub from the freezer and use separate utensils if you tell them you're coeliac. The ice cream was absolutely delicious as well which was a huge bonus!

I don't usually write reviews, but the very sweet staff had asked me to share my experience at Betty's Burgers. Last night was my first time going there with my family and it was amazing. The food did take around 15 minutes, but they seemed extremely busy. I had the vegetarian burger with trufffle fries and it was so good! The staff were so friendly and helpful, my mom has a celiac allergy and they were very accommodating. I would definetely say this diner is allergy friendly and will definetely come back again before we go home.

Awesome place! We visited during our trip to Albany. The food was absolutely delicious and there were so many gluten free options that were coeliac friendly (including their gluten free waffles and drinks which were all just sooooo good!) Do yourself a favour and make sure you visit if you are in the area. There’s a play area for the kids. In addition, if you want to ensure you definitely get a table, make a booking as it’s busy (and for obvious reasons as their food is soooo good). Highly recommended!

This is a lovely Cafe with fresh fish and other really lovely dishes on the menu. We've never had a meal here that was less than perfect. I'm coeliac and have never had an issue eating here. This visit, I had the seafood Laksa and my partner had the chowder. So very good! They also have full or half serves of their fish and chips. The gluten free version is especially good. I treat myself for lunch on occasion and it's never greasy. We've also had their lamb souvlaki in the past and it's so tasty! Overall, I'd highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area. I think this is one of the best cafes in the Burnie area, and the service is excellent too.

I truly hate leaving bad reviews but be careful eating here if you are coeliac, yes they advertise everything as though their entire menu is gluten free and safe for coeliacs but they use regular gluten containing cones?!? As the default. So I got a scoop on Thursday afternoon excited to finally have a scoop in a cone as that is rare for us, I didn’t clarify it was gluten free because I saw “coeliac Australia accredited” and “entire gelato menu gluten free” not for a second would I think they would be using normal cones. I spent the rest of the day vomiting violently. I also sent them a message on instagram asking why they would even bother using normal cones in an otherwise entirely gluten free establishment let alone to have them as the default, and received no reply. A real shame as I was so looking forward to just enjoying a safe ice cream without having to make a song and dance about being coeliac as we always do, to just order food like a normal person this is the benefit of entirely gf businesses. It makes no sense to me why you wouldn’t just commit to making your business entirely safe for coeliacs if all the flavours are????

So thrilled I found this place - the ambiance is lovely and the gelato even better. I couldn’t believe I found two of my favourite flavours AND gluten free and vegan! Mulberry paired perfectly with the lime leaf. There is a park not far from here, so well worth popping in while out.

The best gelato in Melbourne! Such a range of great flavours, and they always have exciting specials. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable of coeliac disease. I believe almost every flavour was gluten free, and they also used a fresh spoon from a fresh batch of gelato to reduce cross contamination, after I advised I was coeliac. Cannot recommend this spot enough!

Wow! Such a fantastic range of Dairy Free & Gluten free ice cream products! The service is always welcoming, professional and friendly. The flavours of dairy free icecreams are amazing and they bring in all the well loved favourites to those with allergies. My daughter (11) says “It’s really inclusive to those with allergies so they don’t feel left out and it’s really yummy and the staff are really nice!”. They’re also stocking some gluten and dairy free bakery products to complement their range and service of allergy friendly foods. Thanks again we will be back!

I have been here a few times and this place has some of the best food that I've ever had and I will be going more often. I would recommend getting the potato scallops because they taste soo good. The staff know how to maintain a positive attitude, the food is made quickly and the prices are reasonable. There are gluten free options for you celiacs out there as well

Just had a gluten free lemon curd muffin here and it was incredible! So often gluten free baked goods are grainy and dry but this was so fresh, moist, light and fluffy. Would HIGHLY recommend

This business is owned by a rude, contemptuous woman who literally cares about every single dollar. After one recent visit, I thought I had been overcharged so I contacted the business as I was 1) not sure if I had been overcharged or not and wanted to check 2) if I was overcharged I did not know by how much as I don't know their prices off the top of my head. So it was a polite enquiry which resulted an abrupt, unfriendly, unapologetic response from the English owner. It was established I had only been overcharged by $1. Had I known it was only a dollar I would not have bothered asking at all. After I hung up from the call, the owner then phoned me back to ask more questions about what I had bought, had I bought a gluten free cone which would account for the extra $1, etc (No) She then told me there would be a $1 credit next time I went in. I hung up again and then subsequently sent a message on Facebook to say that after having to check my bank account, phone the business, take a further phone call from the business, I was expected to ask “please can I have my $1 credit?” I told her I would not be asking for my $1 credit. I returned to work and she then phoned me again (I could not answer as I was back working after my break) and left a voicemail to say she would leave a $5 credit. I went in to the shop yesterday and when I asked about the credit, the girl serving started smirking. She couldn’t keep the sarcastic smile off her face, so I assumed the owner had been gossiping about me. Why? For querying a possible overcharge and telling her I would not be condescended to by asking for a $1 credit next visit?? The girl serving continued to smirk as she showed me the note the owner had left which said if this person comes in give her $1 "and no more". This, despite her voicemail saying the credit would be $5. This is apparently the low level at which she operates. I tried to send a message to the owner via Facebook as I had told the smirking employee I would, but wasn’t able to because she blocked me. How emotionally immature and how totally lacking in personal integrity. I feel sorry for her that this is the way she goes through life, unable to handle to an issue like a grown-up but has to resort to blocking to avoid being accountable. The husband is an equally rude and unfriendly person, unable to smile. He stopped serving in the shop a few years back, but now I’ve interacted with the wife and found her just as awful, we won’t be going here any more. She really needs to grow up and develop a more positive attitude instead of the mean-minded and cowardly one she now possesses. Smile more, be more friendly and open and life will be better for you Helen.
