You can tell that this is more than a cafe when you visit. It’s a passion, it’s a lifestyle and it’s a family. The team work well and harmoniously and this has so many benefits for the customer. You can tell this is a well-oiled machine environment as it feels peaceful and safe, even when it is busy. My children enjoyed the food and the playground, as well as meeting Boris. The food was exceptional, and priced really well.
Do yourself a favour, go there, order a farmer’s high tea and a coffee just the way you like it, then relax and enjoy the atmosphere and as you leave, purchase the chilli strawberry jam, a punnet of strawberries and do not leave without a bag of freeze dried strawberries soaked in chocolate.
+extra points for the gluten free sourdough which was home made and probably better than any bread I have ever tasted. I don’t like being gluten free, but it’s places like Handasyde’s that makes it bearable and even, dare I say, enjoyable.
We really enjoy it here.
