We order from here a lot because of some gluten allergies in our family. Since it opened to about a year ago, this was our favorite takeout restaurant - tasty, good service, accurate, fast. Over the last year, it has become increasingly harder and harder to place orders at this place. If I call to place a take out and I get the manager, it's seamless and easy. It might take all over 10 seconds to order. However, if I call and don't get the manager, it's incredibly difficult to place any basic order. I either get someone who calls me "chief" and "boss" every other word and placing the basic order becomes a 5-minute ordeal. Even my 7 year old daughter asked me in the restaurant why he keeps calling me "boss" and "chief". It's how someone speaks to a child, not another adult. Basic social awareness. The last two times I've called to order, I've got someone with no personality and extremely difficult to order from. It's like they're using their internal POS system for the first time.
Keep in mind we've had the same order for the last 3 years...
We always order 2 gluten free pizzas and a large boneless buffalo finger. It's a basic order. When I order with the manager, it's what I get. When I get these other two guys, they repeat it back like I'm saying it wrong, "sooooooo you want a large tender, buffalo style". I've started to order it like that to make it easy for them to comprehend as possible. I then have them read the order back to me to confirm accuracy. This latest order, my wife went in to pickup the order and they were bone-in wings. When she told them it was supposed to be boneless, the guy just said "No....". In 3 years we have never ordered bone-in wings. He literally repeated the order back to me on the phone and said boneless. How do you just say "No...."?
I understand that finding good help is hard these days. There has been a "now hiring" sign out front for a while. However, this is an extremely basic job.
We simply cannot keep spending $100 here every week because the service has become terrible and the process has become just one big headache.
Thankfully, there are some new gluten free offerings nearby.
