Warning for people with gluten allergies: 'Gluten-free' pancakes are not gluten-free!
The menu states that the pancakes can be made gluten-free for a fee of €3. My friend ordered one of these and explicitly stated that she had an allergy. When the pancakes were delivered, we asked to be sure whether they had been baked in a clean pan. This turned out not to be the case, they were fried in the same pan as the normal pancakes. Cleaning the pan (which seems like a small effort to us) or using another clean pan was not possible because the cook did not want that, very unusual. The otherwise friendly service said that unfortunately they could not help my friend any further, while the rest of our food had already been brought. Why put on the menu that food is gluten-free (and even charge a surcharge for this) if this is not the case? Allergies are no joke, people can get seriously ill from them.
