DeRoka Turkish Mediterranean Restaurant & Cocktail Bar Milton Keynes

Really disappointed in this restaurant , we chose this restaurant because of the gluten free options available on a few starters and appetisers , this was actually wrong and no gluten free options were available on those items . No gluten free bread either . The salmon was over cooked and very dry , salad was nearly all roughly chopped , very roughly chopped,tomatoes and no mayonnaise in the building apparently . Mojitos were basically rum and lemonade. I would not recommend .

I never write reviews or make complaints, as it’s just not my thing to do. But on this occasion, I feel like I need to express what a bad experience I had today. We had a booking at 7:30, our table was not ready. 15 minutes later, we got sat at the far end of the ‘bar’ area for our meal. I will list all of the complaints I have throughout - -It was absolutely freezing in there, no heating and the doors left wide open. -The complimentary bread was not served until our starters (late) -we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes roughly for our starters to even be served. -we asked for gluten free bread, no one came back to us. -we were served a main meal with our starters, of which this was not requested. -we got given the wrong drinks. -the rice dish for my friends meal did not arrive until prompted. -the waiter spilled the drink over my friend’s jacket and didn't bother apologising or helping to clear it up. -We got ignored 4 times by our waiter after we had made a general complaint to the manager of the ‘overall service’. Of which the waiter then comes over to say it was his ‘tactics’ - to ignore us?! At this point I was absolutely shocked. With that, the manager walks off and doesn’t even come back. I have never, ever had such bad service in a restaurant. I will never be going back to this restaurant, they have gone down hill massively. I am some what pleased to read I am not the only one who has had this bad experience - as at least it wasn’t just me!!! Please, please think twice before going to Deroka. I would not recommend unless it’s a weekday when they are not busy!!!!
