I'm surprised I liked it. Went here once for a book club meeting; we sat upstairs and I did not order anything. The others ordered what looked like tasty, greasy, cheesy, fatty bar food. (I think it was the patatas I saw and was on the fence about trying. It looked like it was too much, but they liked it).
Came back another time and tried a hot dog - it was pretty good, I like the gluten free bun option and that you can make your own. Very casual, odd location, but there is some parking.
I'm not a hot dog aficionado, I've probably only ever eaten one out at a food venue in NJ two other times: 1, at point pleasant beach, at that yellow stand in the middle of the boardwalk, where they have the best boardwalk fries - and the hot dog there is a footlong and we tried it once and split it 3 ways, but I had to eat it without the bun. And it was good. 2, the cider mill near hacklebarney state park, where the hot dogs and sauerkraut are cooked in the cider or something like that. Also ate it without the bun, and I do like it and try to get there once a year or once every two years.
Sometimes, it's those mediocre, just okay experiences that you may come back for, and it'll hit the spot.
I feel like I should add the health warning: hot dogs are not brain food and may take years off of your life ("Eating a hot dog takes away 36 minutes of healthy life"). Everything in moderation.
