My favorite Mexican restaurant in California. Started going to the Monterey location years ago, so happy there is another one. Great food and great service. One thing I think they could do better: make the restaurant more gluten free friendly. The GF menu items are not clearly labeled, only one item on the whole menu says it’s GF, even though nearly half the menu is. Also some training for staff on cross-contamination to help people with severe gluten allergies and celiac be able to enjoy the delicious food here. So much of Mexican cuisine is naturally gluten free so it attracts many people with gluten allergies and celiac and I would love to see El Cantaro embrace this 😊 Awesome restaurant, I really enjoy coming here!
