A great gluten-free bakery with good sandwiches. I love Pushkins and this one does not disappoint. They don't have as much food as the other ones or paninis like babes but they still have a pretty good selection of baked goods. It is a very small cute store but there is no seating inside which is not the best in the Sacramento Heat. But I come here often to get baked goods for the house.
Absolutely incredible. Not dense like any other GF donut, INCREDIBLE prices. I got 3 donuts and a churro and everything was 10/10. So fluffy and yummy. As someone with Celiac and a true wheat allergy, this made me feel normal for a second! LOVED it. So did my 3 year old, and he is super picky
My sister and I will stop by here just to grab their Buffalo Cauliflower Bites *Drooling* and we absolutely refuse to share we have to get our own order.
The vibe is anywhere from casual and relaxing on the patio to romantic and fine dining inside. The menu is constantly evolving with the seasons. I have tried many of their burgers as a lettuce wrap and with the gluten free bun, pumpkin doughnut holes, asparagus risotto, and peach pie! Revolution never disappoints. They share a parking lot with Temple Coffee & a :10 second walk to the Coop or Pushkin Bakery!
This is a great little place for Thai food. They have a menu that's labeled with gluten free and vegan, and it was easy for me to find something to eat. The staff is friendly too.
Amazing food across the board! Loved it. They were very accommodating with my gluten allergy and provided many delicious options. We ate on the patio, they have misters for warm weather and the atmosphere was lovely.
I really like this place (I had it mixed up with the place upstairs Veg Cafe but they are both really good). I have been here several times over the past few years and I went back recently. They have a fairly diverse menu with vegan options. (Check out their menu). They have a “seasonal menu” that changes from time to time.
The service was really good and the atmosphere is nice. You can adjust pretty much anything as far as gluten free, vegetarian or vegan options. Most of the entrees and items are Thai types so lots of noodles and rice. If you’re vegan or vegetarian and like Thai food I would recommend this place 100%.
Food is incredible. Will definitely visit again. Definitely a great spot with multiple vegetarian vegan, and gluten free options. Limited seating so accommodating big groups would be difficult.
Parking was easily available. Really homey vibe and the employees made us feel welcomed as well.
I love going to Plant Power. I love this place because it has a lot of dairy-free and gluten-free options. The vegan patties are also really tasty. It's a bit expensive, so I only go every so often.
Gluten free fryer!! Awesome staff. Gross burgers (was that beef or not beef that I just ate? I couldn't tell & smothered in the most disgusting sauce that I'd asked to have without). Fries were awesome. Ranch was so gross. Excessive packaging but decent hot food.
It is super challenging to find vegan, gluten free, organic options in Sacramento - especially on a Sunday night - but this place wowed me.
Almost every item can be made gluten free, and everything either is vegan or can be made vegan. The spring rolls are the best I’ve ever had, and I eat a lot of spring rolls - highly recommend the Buddha Roll as well as the Karma roll, both were 10/10.
I’ll also be craving the Lemon Grass Garlic Tofu Squares and the Sea Salt Smoked Oyster Mushrooms until we can get back, those were both insanely delicious. The Eight Fold Path salad is organic perfection, as well.
This place is an absolute must for anyone conscious about organic ingredients, or looking for Vegan + GF options. I’ll be relying on it whenever I’m in town, now!
Love this place!! They can make almost any dish gluten-free! Everything I've tried on on the menu so far has been awesome! If you are vegan or vegetarian you've got to try this place.
This place is amazing!! As someone who is gluten-free, vegan and processed sugar free, it's so amazing to not have to worry about our food containing our allergens. Everything they serve is cooked to perfection. The Himalayan pie is to die for!
Got delivery from this place for the first time because they popped up on gluten free pizza research for Sacramento, and it was delicious! Both the gluten free crust (according to my husband) and the regular crust (nostalgic with plenty of toppings) we’d order again. Quantity felt more than fair for the price. We’d go eat in person!
Really good food! I've been here twice so far and will be coming again! Also there are plenty gluten free options, the gluten free bread and pizza dough are some of the best we've had.
$16 FOR JUST THE TINY PIZZA :(
Really sad. I recently found out I have strong gluten sensitivities and so I wanted to try pieology’s gluten free pizza.
Advertised as 10 inches when its barely 8.5. Not a jab at the employees because they weren't doing anything wrong. I was just told they preorder the gluten free dough.
If you can't properly accommodate what you say you can, then don't serve it at all, especially not for $16 for just the pizza. Was really excited because I've gone here before (before I noticed my allergy) and the pizza was well worth it (size and taste) but now I don't think I’ll be coming back. Really good if u can eat gluten, horrible if you can't.
This restaurant was just okay. My son and I went there for a special occasion. I made a reservation ahead of time and told them of the special occasion but no one ever acknowledged that while we were there. Most restaurants would have made some kind of fuss. The meal I wanted to order was no longer on the menu, though it showed on the website. The mail I ended up with was full of mostly squash and zucchini, things I'm not crazy about. Would have appreciated more different vegetables inside of it. My son got one of the specials, which were pretty spendy, and he didn't like it. He thought it was the pasta of the ravioli but I think it was most likely almond cheese or something because he said it was a little bit gritty. The appetizer was probably the best thing. We got a heirloom tomato thing that was just delicious. That was probably our favorite part.
I WAS happy that there seemed to be organic soap in the restroom so I did not have to subject myself to chemicals. Kudos for that!
For me, there are two problems with this restaurant. One is that the menu is very small so there are not many options. Most of them were things I would make at home and did not want to eat out. Second problem was no real gluten-free options. I think that a Restaurant that is vegan should perhaps have more consciousness around the subject of gluten. Oh! And I emailed the manager three times leading up to the day I was expecting to be there & never got an answer until afterwards! So they could definitely do better with communicating as well. All in all, we were not real impressed with the restaurant and probably will not go again.
Fantastic. Stopped in on my way to Redding and was blown away that I could eat anything on the menu safely as I’m allergic to dairy, gluten, and soy. Not only that but it was delicious. I haven’t had plant based ranch this good ever. Knowing the ingredients were good and the flavor being as good as it was, I’m so impressed. I will definitely be stopping by here next time I’m in the area.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in California. Started going to the Monterey location years ago, so happy there is another one. Great food and great service.
One thing I think they could do better: make the restaurant more gluten free friendly. The GF menu items are not clearly labeled, only one item on the whole menu says it’s GF, even though nearly half the menu is. Also some training for staff on cross-contamination to help people with severe gluten allergies and celiac be able to enjoy the delicious food here.
So much of Mexican cuisine is naturally gluten free so it attracts many people with gluten allergies and celiac and I would love to see El Cantaro embrace this 😊
Awesome restaurant, I really enjoy coming here!
This place is great! They make delicious sandwiches of all options (meat lovers, vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free). The staff are super friendly. My only thing is the place is hot and has poor ventilation (just smells like toasted bread on overkill). I normally get it to go and eat it at home, because I don't want my clothes to smell and I feel nauseous with strong smells especially after eating. They do have some turbo fans to help with the heat and smell, but in my opinion it's not doing a good enough job for proper ventilation.
I recommend The Reading Rainbow on wheat with banana peppers, red onion, lettuce, and tomatoes!
Looking for some vegan and vegetarian food near me and stumbled upon this place. Big portions. Salad was really good with lots of textures flavor and fries had a lot of flavor to them also. Would recommend this to my vegan friends and they had gluten free options
Yes please. Vegan with pure soul. This reminded me a bit of Dharma’s Kitchen in Florida. No dine in but there is outdoor seating or take out. You knock at the window when you’re ready to order and one comes out. We ordered the Auntie Soul Plate (1 protein, 2 sides, drink) with the Nashville Hottie, Mac and cheese, potato salad, fresh squeezed lemonade.
I ordered the gluten free bird and a side of candies yams.
Tenea was the first impression and last, a notable, lasting presentation of the company.
Food, marvelous! Parking lot, cashless payment accepted. Downside is for the cost of the platter and what I ordered that’s $50 for an ok portion size.
This place is an absolute gem! I went twice in less than a week and I don't even live in Sacramento. Here's my full breakdown.
Highlights: Great food, ambiance and Service. Gluten Free friendly.
Looking forward to: *Liquor License coming soon*
Favorite item: The Up Beat Roll (I could eat that 7 days a week)
Starters:
- Village Spicy Fried Blue Oyster Mushroom - Perfection! crispy yummy
- Szewchuan Salt & Pepper Tofu w/Onions - A little greasy but good flavor
Rolls:
- Zen Garden Roll - Strong Japanese flavors, very traditional not everyone's cup of tea
- Up Beat Roll - Crowd favorite! Everyone loved this one!
- The Village - Super fun smoked roll, presentation is super cool
- Ziggy of Om - Delicious, second favorite to the Up Beat Roll
Mains:
- Yellow Curry Potatoes with Veggie - Good but could use a bit more salt. Nice mild flavor
- Trumpet Shitake Bulgogi Iron Skillet - WOW, very yummy. Bold flavor on the salty side but we all loved this one.

I came to DOCO with a friend who is gluten free dairy free and sugar free and we were not planning to get anything to eat because of all the dietary restrictions but then we saw this and it was so good. My friend had not had ice cream in 8 months but she was able to have ice cream from here and she was so happy 😁 I will say it is pricey for ice cream but it is worth it
If I were to have a checklist of the meal I’d want to marry, this checked off my boxes.
☑️ vegan
☑️ gluten free
☑️ healthy
☑️ delicious
I cannot praise how much this hit the spot. Fresh ingredients and quickly made. Ordered the organic Tofu Greens Bowl, added tofu, with an extra garlic sesame soy sauce dressing. 🤌🏾
I would order from their Oakland location when I worked in the bay and ecstatically floored they’re in my hood. Service the same from the Bay to Sac. Fresh ingredients, gluten free, vegan options.
Great service and tasty food! I appreciated that the menu had many vegetarian options and it was so well labeled. (Gluten free, vegan, etc.) Spice was right and the meal tasted fresh and made with care. We will be back!

Absolutely fantastic; great for celiacs as it’s almost entirely gluten free, they have the very few toppings that aren’t completely separate as well. Even their sauces are all gluten free! Plus, amazing customer service throughout, and a really good value for their bowels. The soft serve is great, and their soft drinks are different but I really liked their Kola Cola, different but in a good way.
LOVE this place!
Dined in for pork noodle bowl. It was incredible!
Food: Noodles had perfect consistency, veggies were super fresh, pork portions were huge, perfectly cooked, and seasoned! Box was filling and refreshing.
Portions were so big I had half a bowl to take home.
Service: order meal up front. Staff are so engaging, welcoming, and helpful with answering questions. Very helpful if you have diet restrictions. They really helped me fine something that worked for me. You can mix and match your meals with different rice/noodles/salad, proteins, veggies, such great options.
Atmosphere: fun energetic space. Small but fun. All types of great drinks available in the beverage fridge.
I’m so happy this place exists. Their meals are so fresh and the portions are so generous. I love this place for the gluten intolerant folks too. I honestly think their prices could be a little higher for the quality of everything.
I can’t wait to go back!
Wish I could give more stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
