Local pizza spot specific to Ellijay with very unique, authentic wood fire oven pizzas. We tried several options among the red and white pizzas both with my personal favorite (not pictured) the shiitake truffle pizza. For the flavor, I think the prices are justified. They had excellent salad option with plenty of protein as well and fondue that was very smooth, complementary to the bread with limited tastes of alcohol (traditionally used to prepare it). Other than the salads, limited gluten free options but they did accommodate to provide cucumbers to use with the fondue. Interior is very nicely decorated and on theme with the restaurant. Only docs on the service and atmosphere were the limited seating/space that made things at times feel crowded and possibly stressed out the hostess.

Ate here this afternoon, finally! Took more than an hour for a to go order. The party of 5 before us were served and left the restaurant before we got our pizza and Greek salad. Unfortunately, that was all because there is nothing except salad for those of us with celiacs disease. I was ok with that because I just wanted my husband to have a good pizza. We were treated so rudely when we had the audacity to even ask about our order. Two servers told my husband they would check on it and he watched as they just went about their business and never checked a thing. I stepped outside because the waiting area was crowded. When an outside table became available I sat down with our drinks. In about 10 minutes I was asked if I was eating at that restaurant. I assured the server I was waiting on my husband who was inside waiting on the food. She said she would check. I told her it had been almost an hr. so far. She returned with her finger pointing at her watch and said angrily, it’s only been thirty minutes! I checked the computer. I told her I wasn’t sure when it was entered in the computer but we have been waiting an hr. Then she said loudly as she walked away 30 MINUTES! Well I’m super embarrassed. The lady at the next table said that girl just called you out as a liar Within 10 minutes another server came and placed a salad in front of me, I asked about my husband and his pizza and received no answer. I waited a few minutes then opened the door to tell my husband the salad was there and if he had heard anything about his pizza. At this point the second server pushed past me with a pizza and sat it on the table without a word. We assumed it was his. I don’t really know how the food was because of being so upset. We waited for a check, it never came so my husband stepped back inside and the first server with check in hand said, this is yours! He paid and returned to me. A server was there and I told her there had been no reason for them to be rude to us ,all we had done is inquire about our to go meal , which NEVER came as a to go order. We just felt like we had imposed on a private party or something. Needless to say, there are to many good and inviting restaurants in Ellijay to ever be treated like this again! We won’t be back.
