I live in Burlingame Hills but come to HMB daily. Had been wanting to try this restaurant after a successive string of $$$ disappointing meals elsewhere. It's easy to overlook Evangeline since it's not in tourist trap locations but today found the hidden gem.
Menu is short but varied with enough mouth watering choices to make it difficult to decide. I opted for fish and chips. Not your typical greasy fish & chips. Batter crust perfection accompanied with homemade slightly spiced creamy dipping sauce and air light french fries. I told the owner I didn't know how bad I needed this, restored my faith in dining out. Treated to gluten free, delectable brownie with fresh whipped cream. I left feeling completely fulfilled and satisfied. All menu items fairly priced. Looking forward to returning with a friend to share one of several Paella options for 2. I am VERY selective, you will not be disappointed here.
