Famous Toastery

Absolutely love Famous Toastery! I'm a Celiac and require a Gluten Free diet, which they serve perfectly. I splurge every time I'm here because they understand Gluten free and take the care necessary to ensure it's safe. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience. Oh yeah, the food. Can't be beat! Don't take my word, Go for yourself!

We came here for breakfast at 11:30, it's raining out and it's dead inside. There is one other family. We got seated quickly, but after our drink order was taken it took 30 minutes for a server to come take our order. They serve stuffed french toast, and I asked if they could mod their Nutella & Banana option for Nutella & Strawberry, and I was told that wasn't feasible, so I just got the strawberry and cream cheese instead. The coffee was cold. We got our food, and the bacon was entirely burnt, one order of food was the wrong flavor, another didn't get a side of breakfast meats, the chocolate chip pancakes had very few chips and were mushy, and the French toast hardly had any fruit on top and was soggy. They didn't offer water, and took a long time to come refill coffee. The prices are high, and it would have been fine if the food was good, but unfortunately it was not. The eggs were overcooked. There was a side of gluten free toast on one of the dishes that didn't even get toasted, it was just slightly dry bread. The only thing I can say for this restaurant is they had plenty of gluten free options. All in all, we will not be coming back.
