Five Eleven

We stopped in for an early dinner on a Wednesday around 5:15 so the restaurant was pretty vacant. Most of the bar seats were taken, but only a couple table of diners during our visit. The staff were great. Very friendly. Very attentive. Very accommodating of my wife's allergies. They even had a laminated menu with all the gluten-free options highlighted. The food was tremendous. I had the local sole picatta and loved it. My wife ordered the duck and had nothing but rave reviews. Good cocktails as well. It's a pricey menu, but we would definitely come back. The only thing that lacked for me was the atmosphere. I found the restaurant to be a little boring. The bar is pretty, but outside of that it's just plain. Some people might love this, but it wasn't for me.

I haven’t been to 511 in years. Service was wonderful. They had a gluten free menu which is awesome. Tons of gluten free options, unlike many places in Humboldt County. We sat at the Pearl which I liked because there was less people and we had the basketball game on the big screen. I got the steelhead with lobster risotto and veggies. My plate was delicious. My friends plate was okay. The lamb was very good, but the polenta was cold, bland, and brunt. Maybe just an off one, because my steelhead yummy. I also go the beet salad, tiny but good. Overall glad I finally made it back to 511. Thanks for the great service and yummy food!
