Flat Top Grill

Oh boy where do I begin. Floor was sticky, the buffet and nearby floor was covered in food that had fallen off the bowls. There is no way this place would be safe for someone with celiac disease. The cross contamination would make people with gluten issues or allergies very sick. Ordered the fried rice with chicken it came with shrimp in it. Ordered a plain cheese quesadilla it came with peppers and onions. There was no silverware so they gave us take out plasticware. They didn't have enough servers and the ones that were there didn't really know the menu that well. Asked for the manager and it took a long time for her to come to our table. It had been a few years since we had been here. Over all it was a big disappointment. We rarely are able to go out for a sit down family dinner. Fort Wayne has some really amazing places and unfortunately Flat Top doesn't make that list.

I let the waitress know when I ordered that I had a gluten allergy and when the food came out they still had a rodeo on it. I let her know I could not eat it because of that. They remade my food so quickly nothing was cooked all the way through. The board above the food that explains what is in each sauce is different when what is above the sauces. So now I am in extreme pain because somehow I had gluten. I would never recommend this place for anyone who has a gluten allergy or intolerance. Service was horrible. It would take 15 minutes each time to get drinks after we asked for them. We also had 3 other plates where the food was not cooked thoroughly. I used to love coming to this restaurant but I will not be returning. YOUR CUSTOMER RELATIONS IS A COP OUT AND A JOKE. DONT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HOW THEIR "DOCUMENTATION SHOWS OUR FOOD WAS COOKED TO THE CORRECT TEMP" WHEN MINE WAS COOKED IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES .
