Seems like the Flying Star has been around for 40 years now...and ABQ staple! Great deserts and a fun place to hang out. Love their breakfasts. It's not their hay day anymore, but still solid. Good gluten free options.

The food is always great and the atmosphere is pretty solid, relaxed and comfortable. I love the gluten free options. The service, though, can be very slow; sometimes it takes 25 minutes to get two scrambled eggs when the restaurant is almost empty. Perfectly friendly and competent counter staff, but about half the time I come here my food takes a comically long time to reach me.

Their gluten not flapjacks are my friends favorite, so we stopped by again for their birthday, all their breakfast items are worth it, and the mimosas were delicious
