Foundry Kitchen and Tavern

An awesome find for those with specialty diets like myself, vegan & gluten-free. The vegan nachos were incredible and the burnt ends were so deliciously smokey. Couple the comfortable tavern atmosphere with a super friendly, knowledgeable & attentive staff and the Foundry gets two thumbs up and a polished clean plate with me looking forward to sharing this find with friends.

In the town of Sandy Hook, in its historic district, lies the quaint yet stunning restaurant known as the Foundry Kitchen and Tavern. Serving an assortment of local and domestic beer and wine and a menu filled with plenty of variety, this is the place anyone driving on Route 34 or visiting Connecticut must try. I had the pleasure of having their steak which was excellently cooked and prepared over fresh roasted vegetables and my wife enjoyed their signature Thai Green Curry dish that was rich and filled with so much flavor (plus it was vegetarian and gluten-free for her). From their venue to their food, I highly recommend this place for a small wedding or even a birthday party. The staff was very friendly and helpful, 10/10!
