The word buffet sounded terrible but we tried to be open minded. It was pretty good. Well made quality food. A station for create your pasta, lots of sides, the turkey is surprisingly good, beef tenderloin sliced in front of you, good salad bar. The had a customize your own pasta station that said they had gluten free pasta but I couldn't tell if they boiled it in the same water as the gluten pasta and didn't want to risk feeling like garbage. Servers were all super nice. People were very wasteful which I guess comes with a buffet but do you really need 5 plates you take 3 bites of each? Buffet seems expensive ($85 for 2 adults and 2 kids for dinner, $50 for breakfast) if bought separate from the package but everywhere we ate we ended up spending $74-100 anyways. The hotel buffet had the best food especially amongst all the subpar Route 66 diners and cafes. We found nothing spectacular in the area. Add the food into the railway package if you can.
