Been a Fryn' pan customer for years. I used to love the salad bar as my go to. It has changed. Also, service has changed. On the salad bar, sometimes the salads are so terrible now that they are not worth eating. We have had (more than a few times) over the past year potato salad with celery sticks half the size of my finger thrown in and taste of plain cardboard-just potatoes, mayonnaise, and celery logs. The coleslaw was always creamy and fresh. Now it frequently is sour or bitter. It looks and tastes like it has sauer kraut mixed in. It's like the very old salad from the last couple weeks just keeps getting added in. The soups have been off and on over the past year to a terrible degree. The salads served with meals in the early daytime (breakfast) have lettuce that has gotten too cold or frozen and is see through or rotted/black. Service can be great or not. Orders are accurate or not. When I stepped up to the podium area the other eveing, I asked a server for a gluten free menu. She said, "Yeah, sure", seated me at a filthy table, set down the regular menu and walked away. She didn't come back for my drink order so I went to the counter and said, "Hi could I get that gluten free menu?" She proceeded to tell me that you have to ask for that, blah, blah, blah. I asked her what she thought she was saying "Yeah, sure" to as I thought there might be a misunderstanding. She said that conversation never happened. Just wow. The next visit I ordered from the gluten free menu, per usual, and the waitress brought croutons with the salad. They don't have gluten free croutons there. Also, the fresh fruit should be stricken from the menu. It was frozen in the first place, but some of it was good. They continue to have, for more than a year, only canned peaches as fruit. Yes, I am still giving four stars as I do think there are some servers that still give good or great service. And some of the food is still really good.
