*Celiacs beware - do NOT eat the ketchup here* Thought I’d have a splendid time eating here after seeing so many wonderful reviews on Find Me Gluten Free. Their fryers are dedicated GF and it feels like a real treat to be able to have fish & chips. I came here twice while I was here for work, and on the first occasion the waitress put down my plate saying “celiac safe” but I was unaware the ketchup contains gluten. The second time I was here (thinking there was no way that Boxty was the source of my illness, considering the reviews) I was told the ketchup is a no-go. I emailed them but didn’t hear back that they’ll work to make sure the waitstaff are clearly notified about the ketchup, so a Google review will have to do. Unfortunately as a celiac I’d say you should be wary here, as your health apparently depends on the waiter you get seated with.
