Ginger & Joe

Sensational evening at Ginger and Joe. Four of us went out for food and drinks on a Saturday evening. The decor is very cool, chilled and welcoming yet stylish; it had great ambience. We sampled a few cocktails - the blackberry and pear martini, espresso martini and knobbly bobbly were all amazing - and the house lager was really enjoyable. Food wise, we ate calamari, hake, beef short rib, breaded mushrooms, all of which were fantastic in both flavour and presentation. We also had a side of homemade bread which was delicious - particular the beetroot one. We shared a cheesecake and an incredible chocolate torte for dessert. The service was impeccable - attentive but never pushy and our server was so knowledgeable. One of our party is coeliac but was catered for brilliantly. All in all a wonderful evening! Thanks for having us and we can’t wait to return to sample more food and drink!

Lovely little restaurant that offers gluten free meals which are beautifully presented and taste fabulous. The owner was also extremely clued up on gluten free including ceolics disease which made us feel safe to eat and not just fobbed off. Shame we don't live closer so we can enjoy this place more often
