Sensational evening at Ginger and Joe.
Four of us went out for food and drinks on a Saturday evening. The decor is very cool, chilled and welcoming yet stylish; it had great ambience. We sampled a few cocktails - the blackberry and pear martini, espresso martini and knobbly bobbly were all amazing - and the house lager was really enjoyable. Food wise, we ate calamari, hake, beef short rib, breaded mushrooms, all of which were fantastic in both flavour and presentation. We also had a side of homemade bread which was delicious - particular the beetroot one. We shared a cheesecake and an incredible chocolate torte for dessert. The service was impeccable - attentive but never pushy and our server was so knowledgeable. One of our party is coeliac but was catered for brilliantly. All in all a wonderful evening! Thanks for having us and we can’t wait to return to sample more food and drink!

This place is awesome! Really tasty food and very accommodating for our allergies. The chef made adaptations to make my Kids food Gluten-free and my Pork belly was on the the Gluten-free menu. The food arrived quickly and the waitress was helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic meal.
Also there is a parking 1 minute walk on Albany Road, free after 4pm.

A very disappointing experience. I booked a table for my wife and myself three weeks in advance. It was to be a special meal for my wife’s 70th Birthday. I asked for a table with a sea view by the window. We were really looking forward to a seafood platter as it is my wife’s favourite. A few days beforehand I popped in to the restaurant to make sure that the platter was gluten free as my wife is celiac. I was assured that this was no problem for the chef. On the day we arrived for the meal we were shown to a table on the second row back from the window even though there was a spare window table. Which was taken 30 minutes later by a single gentleman. Then to our great disappointment we were told that the seafood platter was not gluten free and the chef could do nothing to alter this. This suggests to me that the seafood is not fresh but frozen. We spoke to the Manager who apologised (for ruining my wife’s evening she had been looking forward to for several weeks) and said she would speak to the owner. If you are planning a special celebration meal I certainly would not recommend the Fish house restaurant.

We stayed overnight in Newquay, and were trying to find a restaurant that had gluten free meals. The Cornish Coffee Bean took care of us! Our niece said her gluten free breakfast was "phenomenal!". The guy serving us (owner maybe?) was talking to us about our travels through the UK, and when we told him where we were going to be staying that evening, he told us that we would be a very short drive from Stonehenge (missed the summer solstice festivities by a couple days). Thanks to him letting us know, we added that historical location stop for the next day! Thanks for the great food and service!!!!

A great place to eat with really tasty food. No gluten free rolls for burgers or pasta, but they make a really good pizza with a gluten free base. Service was good and our waiter was very attentive. The area looks newly built and clean. Groups of people eating which made for a nice atmosphere. Not too noise.
