Gran Caffe L'Aquila

The first time my man who is Italian took me to the L’Aquila - I was stunned! The coffee and desert were exceptional. The manager Boro Miteski introduced us to Italian herbal Amaro. We spent a few hours touring the second floor and seeing the restaurant which was full so we decided to come back. And since than whenever we come from our suburbs to Philly we visit L’Aguila. I have to say that their food is…exceptional! Ask for their pesto! No you can’t buy it and take home but I can eat it with bread until I pass out! Their mussels and stews and…everything! is perfection! And Boro is always checking to make sure everybody happy and feeling welcome. PLEASE check them out though call to see is the place is packed because you most likely will have to wait. But it’ll worth it! P.A. Every pasta except ravioli can be made gluten free. Isn’t it amazing?

UPDATE: Gran Cafe has TONS of great gluten-free options!! The GM responded to this review and after corresponding, he sent me the full list of options available. There are over 35 gluten free options to choose from, throughout the entire menu. I can't wait to come back and try the list!! I love coming here for the drinks (coffee & cocktails), but as someone with Celiac disease, they have no food options, except for the gelato, which is delicious.
