All our family could say was "thank God for the Beefeater", following an absolutely disastrous stay at the attached Premier Inn.
The customer service was incredible, the staff just could not do enough for us. On Thursday, we were served by the most wholesome and genuine waiter called Bruce, who went out of his way to accommodate us. He was so attentive, throughly checking our complicated allergen order several times to keep us safe, and made sure we were topped up with re-fillable soft drinks. Bruce even took the time to chat to our about his experience of moving to the sea-side, which we loved to hear. Bruce deserves employee of the month for sure!
The next morning after receiving horrendous customer service from the Premier Inn, the hotel staff did not mention, let alone offer to book us in for breakfast. We turned up anyway, and were greeted by Scott (who we assumed to be the manager), who was shocked to hear that we hadn't been offered to be booked in, and quickly seated us and provided us with drinks.
We were then served by a lovely lady named Julie, who was again so attentive and helped us with the new system of ordering, rather than self-serving the breakfast buffet. She even offered to read out each menu item for my Nan to make this easier for her!
Food was incredible and great value. We ate lunch Thursday and breakfast and lunch on Friday! I loved my gluten free open chicken, bacon and lettuce sandwich.
The Beefeater 100% saved our 1-night mini-break and took the edge off the horrendous hotel stay. I just hope that their business doesn't become tainted by the Premier Inn next door. I'm sure like us, many guests will not be returning and this unfortunately will no doubt affect people visiting the Beefeater. We shall have to make a special trip over regardless next time we are in Great Yarmouth.
Thank you Scott, Bruce and Julie.
