HUMBUG

Great meal and catered very well for a coeliac in our group. Thank you!!

Hmmm, food was great (with the exception of the gluten free pasta, pasta was fine, sauce was overpowering and unpleasant to eat), most of the wait staff were exceptional. But we were 15 minutes late, called ahead to advise and were told that was fine. We were encouraged to chose the three course Feed Me meal. At no point were we advised that they would not have the “time” to serve us dessert due to being late UNTIL dessert was due. We had, over the course of 2 hours, sat there for 20 mins without food, yet at 8 pm the inability to deliver dessert was considered entirely our fault. The female wait staff offered to seat us outside or she advised we could forfeit dessert. We chose to go outside and waited a further 30 minutes before asking the staff for our dessert. This unpleasantness could of been avoided by the wait staff acknowledging that our lateness combined with the demands of the kitchen on the night meant they ran out of time. We would have had no problem moving outside and understanding our part in the problem; shame humbugs completely overlooked their role. I won’t be going there again and needless to say this approach to their customers cost them a generous tip and repeat business.
