I was really unimpressed with their gluten free options. They said on the phone they can make most rolls gluten free. But none of the eel rolls can be, and basically what they mean by gluten free is leave the sauce off. The other sushi places locally that do gluten free actually make the same rolls, just gluten free. Really unimpressed that Hama thinks "gluten free" offerings are fine dry without sauce/flavor.
They should at the bare minimum warn people when they ask about gluten free options, that they don't actually make them gluten free, they just leave the sauce off (and none of their eel can be gluten free because its pre-made elsewhere and frozen.) I feel like I got tricked because I ordered, then 10 or so minutes later they came back and said they couldn't do any eel rolls gluten free. So not only was everything else lacking sauce/flavor, but half of our order had to be canceled.
