Hansa Coffee Roasters

Libertyville location: This used to be my go to/fave coffeeshop. Despite the lack of outlets, bad lighting in the front area, dirty tables, and no variety for gluten free food, I still came here to work/read bc the coffee and baristas were amazing. Lately though, I have had to return drinks bc the baristas have been instructed to make them differently than what I have ordered. The drinks taste disgusting, especially when made by the manager. I have spoken to both owners about my experiences. Even afterwards, I am still not getting the drink I ordered! For years, my order had not been an issue, but with this manager, it has become a huge problem. For many years, I have been a loyal customer. I'm truly grateful to Tom and Kevin for the past years, as I enjoyed Hansa when it was a high quality cafe. Perhaps Lake Bluff is better; I haven't been there in a while, but I will give that location a try. Thankfully though, there are many other cafes in Libertyville.

Hansa has great coffee drinks and even gluten free snacks and treats. The only thing that I wish they would change is they need to allow tips for the baristas on credit cards. It is very rare that I carry cash, and I feel bad that I can't tip on my credit card.
