Libertyville location:
This used to be my go to/fave coffeeshop. Despite the lack of outlets, bad lighting in the front area, dirty tables, and no variety for gluten free food, I still came here to work/read bc the coffee and baristas were amazing. Lately though, I have had to return drinks bc the baristas have been instructed to make them differently than what I have ordered. The drinks taste disgusting, especially when made by the manager.
I have spoken to both owners about my experiences. Even afterwards, I am still not getting the drink I ordered! For years, my order had not been an issue, but with this manager, it has become a huge problem.
For many years, I have been a loyal customer. I'm truly grateful to Tom and Kevin for the past years, as I enjoyed Hansa when it was a high quality cafe. Perhaps Lake Bluff is better; I haven't been there in a while, but I will give that location a try. Thankfully though, there are many other cafes in Libertyville.
This lively spot features a vibrant atmosphere with a full sports bar, party room, and inviting patio seating, including outdoor and hybrid options. This is my boyfriend and I's favorite place in libertyville!! We order from home and it's always been ready when we walk over. All the staff has been incredibly friendly and go out of their way to greet us and thank us even when they are very busy. I always get The Classic bowl and he has tried many different items and has loved them all, especially the wicked sauce! The only place he wants to go everytime he visits from minnesota! Generous portions, I always have some left over for later and it tastes great reheated. I am gluten free and there are so many options and i have had zero issues so far. I am also very picky and the online ordering makes it easy to choose items removed/added/on the side. We are definitely lifetime customers!

The food tasted great and service was good. The Sunday brunch menu has some interesting choices and it's varied so you should have options. Be prepared to try something you would not have thought to combine before. We enjoyed the Grecian Benedict (the base is falafel, not exactly traditional Greek but tasted great), the Breakfast sandwich (the lamb bacon and tyrokafteri really bring this dish to the next level), Greek yogurt and the baklava pancake (gluten free, tasted fine). We were really happy we tried Chrissoula's out.
The biscuits and cinnamon rolls are to die for. And for the gluten free the Chubby Sausage sandwich with egg on gluten free bread is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had!!!
This family-owned spot offers a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere with colorful decor that delights the senses. The kind and efficient wait staff ensure a welcoming experience, while chefs adeptly adapt dishes for gluten-free diners, making it a top choice for gluten-free dining.

Found this restaurant while searching for something in Libertyville. Family owned and run. We ate in, had four different meals all excellent. Wait staff kind and efficient. Two of us are Gluten Free and chefs able to adapt almost every dish. Reasonable prices! Parking in back. Try this restaurant out if you have not been there.
