Harry's Savoy Grill

They are really accommodating with my gluten allergy. Great quality food. Many options for me and great service. We loved sitting outside in the warm weather for lunch. This is always our go to for special occasions.

We chose Harry’s Savoy Grill for my mom’s 70th birthday dinner, and sadly, it was a letdown. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt off. The stares we received upon walking in made it clear that African Americans dining there might not be the norm — very strange and uncomfortable. It gave off “rally” vibes that left us feeling out of place. The noise level was unbearable, thanks to a table next to us that was clearly over-served. The staff didn’t seem to address it, even though it was obvious everyone was ready for them to leave. The food was mediocre at best. The only vegan option was a hollowed-out squash with under-seasoned beans spilling over the plate — bland and unappetizing. No gluten-free pasta options were available, and the potatoes tasted like a bowl of oil. For a restaurant positioned as upscale, the food and overall experience were disappointing. The only bright spot was being able to spend time with my family and celebrate my mom’s milestone, but I won’t be back. Definitely not worth the hype — next time, I’ll be paying closer attention to the reviews.
