Harry's Seafood, Bar & Grille

We were seated and immediately informed our server we needed to select from gluten free selections. She proceeded to put some delicious smelling bread on the table for us anyway... LOL! No biggie, it happens. However, when my companion asked for a glass of water without ice, the drink arrived with ice in it. Whatever, this girl just seemed to be in auto-pilot. But we for real had to remind this girl THREE more times over a 20 minute period before an iceless water landed on our table. At this point we're realizing our server was probably a little too "medicated". But you know what? The atmosphere was terrific and we were still enjoying ourselves. I am usually bothered by the live music because of the loudness, but in this case the musician played softly and it was such a nice experience. When the food came both of our meals arrived lukewarm, as if they'd been sitting out for some time. I reckon our absentminded server is again to blame. The food itself tasted delightful! Despite the awful service, the experience was not ruined for us. The good so far exceeded the bad that we will be back to Harry's the next time we visit St. Augustine :]

Harry’s is in my top 3 favorite restaurants of St Augustine. There is a reason this New Orleans style restaurant has an outstanding reputation for its delicious cajun food. Everything on the menu looked amazing, and everyone in our party was impressed with their meal. The service was excellent, the ambiance was unique as the restaurant is in an old two story house, but theres not a great waiting area so if its raining, everyone is just standing around the host stand. Outside seating is preferred if the weather allows for it. They also had plenty of offerings for those with dietary restrictions including a separate gluten free menu. We got the gluten free Boudin balls which are cooked in oil instead of fried and they were delicious!

Although we had to wait a little longer for our orders, it was worth it when we got it. There is a separate gluten-free menu. The cocktail, entree and dessert selections were wonderful.
