Loved the vibe of this cafe! Buzzing and mostly corporate clientele during the week. Very thick fluffy gluten free bread which is always a good surprise! Lovely presentation of the scrambled eggs which were creamy and big portion. Good selection of pastries and amazing breakfast menu. They do a pretty good matcha. Not the best I’ve had but still good. Would absolutely come back on a weekend where I have more time to sit back and enjoy.

Higher ground had been in my bucket list for a long time and I was sorely let down by this place . The interior was beautiful, so that was promising , but most of the staff were quite condescending, and disdainful. They had run out of gluten free bread at the time of my visit , and the item that I had read about on the website menu was no longer available . (But was still on the website at the time of writing this review .) I didn’t really want Barramundi , Roast Pork or Wagyu for breakfast, so ended up with just a lot of extras on a plate , because my friend didn’t want to leave . She really enjoyed her Spanner Crab Benedict - she said the flavours were spot on . The woman that ended up serving us was fantastic, which is why I gave a better review than I was going to . There were quite a few staff members that were just standing around talking , it took almost an hour for our meals and the latte wasn’t my favorite ( I had the baristas breakfast )- but the other two weren’t bad. Cudos to the baristas - they never stopped working . Really enjoyed the antics of the resident sparrows though - they were the highlight.
