Icing on the cakes by Argyles

Came to this place last year, and we loved it! The gluten free pancakes were delicious, so we were eager to come back. The place is small inside and is more capable of handling smaller parties. We had a group of 5, like we did last year, and the gentleman who was seating people told us they couldn’t accommodate us. He said they only had one table that would work and it would be at least 40 minutes. We would have had no problem waiting, but his delivery and sheer annoyance by the fact that we had five people was very uncomfortable. Additionally, he didn’t even offer to put our name down to wait, when he told us it would be 40 minutes, he basically insinuated that waiting was not an option. The whole thing was very awkward, and we felt like we were inconveniencing them, so we left.

Our server was extremely polite, and willing to accommodate my wife's food allergies and gluten intolerance. The food was literally the most bland tasting meal we have ever had. My wife got some "special" shrimp and crab daniel dinner and I got the flat iron steak for the 2 for $40. The website menu was what brought us in but what a dud. There was nothing good about our meal. Then we get the bill and they automatically added a tip to it for a party of 3. Luckily I caught it and removed it so they didnt double dip us for a tip on top of an already added gratuity. We just couldn't tell Karen how bad it was so we just wanted to leave. This place has Gordon Ramsey "Kitchen Nightmares" written all over it!!
