Il Forno Bocconcini Bar & Restaurant

We went here and the menu had said they serve gluten free pizza bases which they did not so why put it on the menu of the cook is too bothered to cook it!!

I don't usually write negative reviews, as we all have our own likes and dislikes. We booked a table a few days ago at Il Forno to celebrate our son's birthday. It was our son's choice, as we'd been there in September and as he has coeliac disease and has to follow a gluten free diet he'd raved about the gf pizza, he'd said it was the best gf pizza he'd ever tasted. Our son had scrutinised the menu online prior to our visit and had made his choice of another 'amazing pizza'. To say we were disappointed to be told on the night that Il Forno no longer offer gf pizzas was an understatement, especially when making the reservation I'd mentioned we needed a gf menu and both menus ( in restaurant and online) state that a gf pizza base is available. Il forno is expensive and a well established restaurant, we will not be returning and I'd air on the side of caution if you have any dietary requirements. My husband is a vegetarian and although a vegan menu is offered there is nothing on the menu to guide vegetarians who do not follow a vegan diet , is this an oversight of the restaurateurs. We asked the waiter had he tasted the vegan cheese which he replied yes and it was good, I don't think so , the mozzarella cheese was like a piece of plastic. Not impressed at all.
