Worth the hype 🙌 and 800 miles 😆 The duck feast was insane. The pairing of caviar atop the perfect crisp skin rolled in a bit of sugar 🩶🧡🩶🧡🩶🧡🩶🧡🩶 The fun of wrapping a perfect duck crepe 😂 not your usual duck bun 片皮鸭 And the duck bone soup with bok choy just so comforting. 关二爷mashed potato is an acquired taste with sesame paste as gravy. But couldn’t pass the photo op 🥳 四喜烤麸braised gluten was way too sweet Almond tofu custard peach 🍑 is a must The honey yogurt was quite sweet and Greek yogurt like ….sooo smooth And of course who can pass up the Chinese chess board. Who ate the general? Need to bring reinforcement to try more dishes next time. ***First floor in Tangram mall in flushing. Best to reserve time for meal or get there at opening 11:30am.

Everything was five stars up until… tasting the Peking duck. Everything about the duck except for the taste of the meat was amazing - from the ultra crispy skin, to the tender meat, to the presentation in the treasure chest, to the thin and chewy pancakes. But, the marinated flavors of a traditional Peking duck — notes of hoisin, five spice, and plum, simply wasn’t there and I was quite disappointed. I’ve had much more flavorful in less fancy places like Manhattan Chinatown I think a place called Ping’s. That said, we loved the appetizers: stir fried thinly cut potatoes, the gluten cold dish, and the treasure pockets with roe that came in a liquid nitrogen platform. Lastly the honey yogurt was a perfect not so sweet dessert for topping everything off.
