Gluten free donuts and crepes. I didn't get food this visit, instead a strawberry smoothie. The person I was with got a breakfast sandwich and a crepe. It looked delicious!!

I asked the barista if any of their teas were gluten free, stating to her that I have a severe gluten allergy and that not all teas are actually gluten-free. She replied "if you have a food allergy we can't serve you." She wasn't even willing to just read the package on the tea to check if it was gluten free. Just flat out refused service to someone with an ADA disability. 🫤

I can't believe it took me so long to peek my head in this place and discover that it's a super groovy 'coffer house that makes me feel like I'm back in the 90s! The coffee and tea drinks are fine, nothing special, but the vibe is great. The interior is all wood and there's an upper level where you can get cozy in the booths. I've started going here regularly and the best part (besides being able to go for a walk along commencement bay with your coffee) is that it doesn't feel like you're in a mall at all. The only downside are the gluten free donuts. These are the donuts that have taken over Tacoma. The baker must have a fabulous sales team because they're EVERYWHERE but if you are not gluten free they are just not good. Which is a shame because there are a couple of actually good donut shops in Tacoma ( like Paos!)
