Keren Cafe & Restaurant

Perfect place to eat after a long trip to DC- the veggie plate was really good, and I appreciated gluten-free injera. The tea was also great- a spiced unsweetened tea!

Bustling cafe on a Sunday afternoon; very friendly wait staff, Hana. We split the 2-person veggie platter of njara + chicken. It was a generous tray of gluten-free njara with mounds all 'round of salad, cabbage*, lentil, spicy lentil, spinach, potato-carrot-sweet red pepper, and of course the chicken, cooked down in a thick, wonderful sauce. *(cooked or pickled idk—but delish :-) All this and a side dish of warm, gluten-free njara! After our meal, the owner Le-le came to greet us. Altogether delightful 🙂 The portions were so generous that I'm still full at dinnertime (having only light soup tonight). Try Keren: you'll love it❣
