Food was great. Best latte of my life. I will say the service was subpar, not super friendly. Completely, gluten free! They also didn’t have straws for their in house drinks which I thought was odd. Would have loved even a metal or glass straw. But overall, a great atmosphere and wonderful product. The banana bread wasn’t too sweet (which is good) and the smoothie bowl was fantastic.

I'm a celiac. This was absolutely delicious and as close to dedicated GF as it can be! Their only potential qualm is that the oat milk they use, while GF, is not *certified* GF. Lovely ambience, delicious and creative bakery items, and I highly recommend the avocado toast with all of the fixings. Maybe I should live here so I can go here all the time, lol

Kindred is a casual café with delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch 100% gluten free. As celiac, it is rare to have the possibility to choose anything from the menu without cross-contamination. This is the only place in Iowa city with a 100% GF kitchen. Additionally, I loved the vibe of the place: young and casual.
