Asked for my food to be Gluten free (as was advertised as an option on the menu) and double checked when it was brought out. The waitress came back and advised it ‘only had traces of gluten’
I was pretty shocked and said that this possibility had not been mentioned on the menu or when I ordered.
The young waitress then asked if I had asked for my food to be gluten free when I ordered, which I had. She then proceeded to tell me that it was the best they could do and asked what I wanted her to do about it.
She offered a refund, which I accepted but then said she would have to take the food away.
I ate a little of my $30 meal but left the majority out of anxiety. Everyone I was with was pretty horrified at how I’d been treated.
I will not be returning in a hurry.
