La Cucina Italiana - Raleigh

Went here for the first time and wasn’t expecting much but it was GREAT. My spouse is Italian and very picky and also enjoyed it. We’ve tried lots of Italian places in Raleigh area and this is the best. Excited to bring my friends with dietary needs here as well because apparently they also have gluten free options I’m very picky about my Alfredo (for some reason most restaurants have such bland Alfredo) but their Cajun pasta with Alfredo was very flavorful. The penne vodka is their most popular dish for good reason and also very flavorful. I also enjoyed their steak and cheese during lunch

Really friendly staff greeted us upon arrival and were so welcoming to our children. They brought them lollipops, crayons, and coloring pages right when we sat down, which we did not expect but really appreciated. We had an entree of veal Parmesan and shared a pizza. Food was really good and they have a lot of gluten free options. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful food in a casual atmosphere. Prices are extremely reasonable. Ahmed, one of the owners, greeted us the first time and offered a myriad of his recommendations on the menu. The cajun shrimp dish is phenomenal, including the gluten-free option, which is equally delicious as the standard pasta. We have no idea how they make the alfredo sause so light yet flavorful. We are so glad that we have found this absolute gem of a restaurant.
