Buckwheat, while famous in France is almost unknown in Belgium. But here in Ghent there was one restaurant that became famous for serving buckwheat and then it closed. La dolce barista answered the prayers of many Ghent locals when they started serving great buckwheat savory crepes. It is now the only place in the area where you can get such delights. As Gluten free buckwheat lovers who go in search of great buckwheat crepes from France to Sweden whenever we are in Europe. This was a godsend of a find. Delicious wholesome and a homey warm atmosphere with great hot chocolate across from the cathedral. We highly highly recommend it. And it is great for families with babies and toddlers because they are so welcoming.
