Le Café Magda

This is a terrific spot for locals (worth a little trip out of next-door Verdun and off Wellington), as well as for any local or tourist who wants to take a bike or car ride along the St. Lawrence from Verdun to Lachine and have a perfect mid-way brunch or lunch just one block up from there with ample free car and bike parking. The atmosphere is great for families, workers and everyone else. A place where my family (including two crazy kids) feels welcome, which is hard to come by in a restaurant. Food is very good. I like the short menu that always has at least 1 vegan/veg option. I don't care about gluten but they always have delicious (!) gluten free pastries too. Coffee, pastries and food are all good and fresh. Kitchen and restaurant is very clean as well. We are lucky we live a short walk away and have something as lovely in our quiet residential part of the city.

Cute family owned coffee shop where you most likely will be served by the owner herself. The mocha I had was delicious. The business recently opened, so it's still a work in progress, but so far, so good. If you are gluten-free, you will enjoy their yummy pastries.
