Le Saint-Amour

Disappointing service, average food. For an establishment under the tutelage of Jean-Luc Boulay, I'm honestly disappointed. Only one mocktail, not at all refined; it tasted like sparkling water with cranberries. Food-wise, the portions were small, and the Pigeonneau's signature dish was cold. The truffle butter was incredible; the only problem was that the gluten-free bread was "lost in the kitchen," so I didn't receive it until after my meal was finished. I asked three times before someone turned on the light... My server was more busy opening bottles of wine than ensuring our dinner was going smoothly. Once dinner was over, I waited over 40 minutes before I could pay the bill, having to call on a member of staff to make sure I was forgotten when settling the bill. There are evenings like this, it happens, it's just a shame that it happened to us on the evening of our wedding anniversary...

We were there with a large group. The servers were on top of everyone's orders and very conscious of any special dietary needs. I'm gluten-free, so they made small adjustments to the food to accommodate me and were very kind about it. All of the food was delicious and well presented. I would highly recommend this place for a special night out!
