Leilani's on the Beach

Fish tacos were good! They had corn tortillas for us gluten free people.

My daughter was glutened here. They “cross contaminate EVERYTHING” as the waitress stated. She told us the salads were safe however so we ordered that. Then after my daughter ate a few bites, told us they actually mixed in bread crumbs. The waitress did do her part and wrote “celiac” on the order but the chefs ignored. She’s been sick since we left the restaurant. Do not eat here if you’re celiac or gluten intolerant!

A magical evening and delicious meal — we were big fans of our dinner at Leilani’s! We were here celebrating my parent’s 30th Anniversary and they made them feel very special. I have celiac so I adhere to a gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free diet. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me figure out what my options were. To start, I enjoyed a POG slushie and sipped some of my husband’s POG seltzer- both of which were excellent. For dinner, I chose the grilled filet mignon. I wasn’t able to have the gremolata or bacon mashed potatoes that came with it, so I enjoyed the local vegetables and roasted broccoli (a special) instead. They were fabulous and I loved my meal! To celebrate my parents, they brought out a slice of hula pie, and I was shocked to learn they had a GF DF SF slice of Lilikoi Pono Pie for me to enjoy! It was Hana breadfruit inspired, Maui honey, Kula strawberries, nut crust, gluten free, no refined sugar or dairy. Truly incredible and the highlight of my vacation! Thank you, Leilani’s, for such a special meal and great accommodations!
