A retro 50s diner vibe with indulgent adult shakes, perfect for family meals and a must-visit spot in Lahaina with a cool view.
Cool Cat Cafe does have really good burgers. I disagree that they're the best on the island but they ARE very good. The location is great, the food is very good, and the staff are terrific. The live music is hit or miss. I recommend sitting a bit away from the music because it can be a little too loud if you're close. Cool Cat Cafe has gluten free buns so you can get any burger on a GF bun.
335 Keawe St #211, Lahaina, Hawaii, United States
A top-notch spot in Maui for vegan fare, known for its zero-waste efforts, eco-friendly practices, and a variety of dishes that don't skimp on flavor.
It is one of the best places for vegan and vegetarian options. It also offers a gluten-free option. Ordered as follows: Loco Moku - Best, in my opinion Taro Burger - 👌 Raw Pad Thai - 👌 I would strongly recommend this place.

A spot with a patient and knowledgeable server, offering a great value for money with huge entrees and wine under $50, and a warm Aloha spirit.
Fanfrickentabulous! We are gluten free and this establishment knows what that means. Fresh ingredients, different cooking utensils! Amazing! The GF pizza crust was amazing! Highly recommend! The owner is amazing too! Did I mention that this place is amazing!

A popular spot with two distinct lines for the restaurant and fish market, known for its fresh poke and unique seaweed salad. Seating could be better.
Roomy shop with 2 areas: cooked fish (grilled and fried) and fresh fish (poke and slabs). We ordered cooked food as takeout. Many minutes of deliberations as the menu had many options looked super tasty. Most of the options are either deep fried or grilled. Fish and chips: 3 solid pieces of fish and a handful of salted fries. Tartar sauce and ketchup included. We probably should have eaten at the shop, there are 3 two seater tables out front. The fries were a bit cold when we made it back to our hotel (no microwave). Seafood special: a slab of grilled white fish (forgot to ask what the special was today), 2 shrimp, and a scallop with a scoop of rice and Mac salad + coconut curry on the side. Pineapple salsa on the fish. I was glad the curry was on the side as the flavor was too sweet for me. Scallop was very tender, shrimp were not overcooked. There were some slices of cheesecake and chia seed pudding in the fridge along with soft drinks. The fresh fish display is beautifully set up with rectangle blocks of fish and large containers of various poke. I'm glad we found this fish shop for a meal, it was fairly quick takeout before general dinner hour. Would recommend calling in an order if it is a large one to minimize the wait. Shopping center parking has a limit of 1 hr. Same shopping strip has Venezuelan food if your group is looking for gluten free or vegetarian options.

A popular spot with a cool poster art gallery to explore while waiting for a table, offering handcrafted drinks and a great ambiance.
It's expensive and the reason I didn't 5 star anything was because their Gluten Free dinner options were extremely limited. The server knew what we needed, but almost everything seems to be prepared (twice baked potatoes and salads) and it all already had gluten on it. So I had a $30wedge salad with chicken and I was contaminated anyway.... ugh! Not good for people with celiacs

A popular breakfast spot with a quick-moving line, offering a variety of drinks and a resident cat that greets everyone.
This is an easy and tasty breakfast spot. FYI the line gets long for breakfast. They opened at 7am and we arrived at 7:30am to find a line down to the sidewalk. But it went pretty quickly. You order via kiosk and then pick up your food at the window outside. We got the Avocado Sandwich on an everything bagel and the Maui Cristo. Also ordered the spiced chai latte iced which was good. My favorite was the Avocado Sandwich because it was refreshing, but still filling. The Maui Cristo is a bit heavier, but very tasty with sweet and salty flavors (ham, swiss cheese and guava jelly on a Hawaiian roll). They also have vegetarian and gluten free options! I liked that they have soy milk and oat milk (+$0.75) options for coffee. Seating is first come first serve outside. The only downside is the atmosphere which had a lot of flies around us because of the garbage pails on either side of the eating area. Overall, it cost about $15/person for breakfast sandwiches and drinks
