The grilled octopus in olive oil was amazing and one of the best meals I’ve eaten in Portugal traveling from Lisbon, Porto, Azores, and now Madeira. I informed our server Nikita of my gluten allergy and she was very kind and helpful (as she was throughout the entire meal). The chef accommodated the dish to avoid cross contamination by not grilling the octopus, which I thought might take away from the dish (and was more than fine with being VERY happy to know the dish would be safe to eat). But I can’t imagine it tasting any better! It was so tender and perfectly seasoned. My partner (who isn’t gluten free) had some of my octopus and agreed it was amazing. Nikita’s service, the food, and location made us want to come back and eat there again.

100% recommended. We were looking to eat fish and typical Madeira food. Rodrigo's recommendations were a success, fantastic food and honest, well-prepared cuisine and many gluten-free options, which is worth repeating. We will return!
