Had a lovely afternoon tea. I asked for gluten free sandwiches as part of the tea as I have problems with normal bread and got a full gluten free afternoon tea which was as good as my husband's normal one. Service maybe not as attentive as I would like but nevertheless we both had a lovely afternoon.

Just returned home from a long weekend stay at Lindeth Howe. From the first point of contact with Clare when making the booking to the time we left everything was perfect. The hotel was fabulous - clean, warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful making sure that you were happy and comfortable at all times. The slight changes to cover Covid 19 were well done and didn't affect the stay at all. The food was delicious and plenty of it. My wife is gluten and dairy intolerant and the chef adapted for this very well. The hotel has plenty of parking and is well positioned for lake Windermere. With its historic connection to Beatrix Potter the stay felt that little more special. Highly recommended.
