I started out with high hopes, as this restaurant came recommended. We started out with chips and salsa only to discover that both the green and red salsas were far too hot to really enjoy the flavor. The extreme picante transferred to the entrees as well. I and my two family members are senior citizens whose gastronomic palette health requires a bit less spiciness. It's no fun when the food one eats causes the running of copious tears and nasal secretions. I ordered the gluten-free relleno dinner. The relleno turned out to be nothing more than a whole chile slipped into a thin omelet topped with a mere sprinkling of cheese. I was disappointed, as I was hoping the chef had actually come up with a gluten-free batter in which to dip a hearty cheese-filled chile. While I tried only the one entree, I get the impression that the almost unpalatable sauces and noticeable overusage of salt make for a similar taste to all the entrees. Drink selection would be greatly enhanced if homemade aguas frescas such as horchata or jamaica were offered, but these were sadly not available. I wish I could say we will be returning to this restaurant, given that it was recommended, but we do not join in the recommendation.
