My husband and I came here for afternoon tea - mine was gluten free and his was normal, and I am sad to say the experience was underwhelming.
Service was fine, the decor and atmosphere is also okay though the Mad Hatter “theme” is very subtle and mainly reflected in the crockery, so don’t expect too much from it.
The main issue is the food. At this price point I was expecting the sandwiches, scones and desserts to be very tasty, but most were just okay and some were actively unpleasant to eat - definitely the case for gluten free, but my husband didn’t love his either and we both chose to leave multiple pieces behind which is not a good sign. I recently experienced an absolutely amazing gluten free afternoon tea at a similar price point and this was very underwhelming in comparison.
