my family ate here the other day. i ordered the gluten free chicken pasta, and was very specific about my celiac allergy. our waitress brought it out quickly and i was very excited! unfortunately after my first bite i found fettuccini at the bottom of the bowl, which is the glutinous pasta they originally offer for the dish. i alerted her of the mistake, and i was given a brand new dish and it was paid for on the house. she apologized profusely for the error. despite the mistake, it was DELICIOUS. my family also enjoyed their meals, and their allergies were well taken care of.

This place is a MUST for food. My Seafood chowder was AMAZEBALLS!! Gluten-free too. So much seafood in it, filling and our sever Corey was fantastic! When in Ingonish, Main Street Restaurant is a bonus!!!

My mom and I both have Celiac Disease and were worried that we wouldn’t find somewhere to eat dinner in Ingonish. We heard that Main Street Restaurant and Bakery had some gluten free options so we stopped in our first night and we were so pleasantly surprised. Our waitress, Bria, answered all our questions and explained which dishes were safe for Celiac. We both ordered the seafood chowder as an appetizer and when it came out with regular bread instead of gluten free, Bria spotted the problem and took it back to the kitchen and quickly brought out fresh chowder with a yummy gf roll. My mom had grilled haddock and I had gluten free seafood pasta Alfredo - everything was delicious! The bakery has gluten free brownies and turtle cheesecake - which Bria offered us on the house- which was a special treat! Highly recommend this cheerful restaurant!
