Maize

These tacos were amazing. I ordered the Carne Asada and the Pastor. Both meats were flavored so well. The corn tortillas knocked it out of the park. I could taste that they were freshly made. I wish they were a couple of bites bigger each but so does everyone who enjoys tacos. I also ordered a side of rice. The flavor was outstanding and again the freshness was evident. I went there because I knew they could do gluten free options. This is critical for me as someone with celiac. Before ordering I asked the manager about both gluten free ingredients and cross contamination. Everything checked out with me and I didn’t get sick. I will definitely work this place into my rotation when I am downtown for work.

The tacos are ok, but we went regularly since they were gluten free. My wife placed an order for 18 pork tamales for the holidays. You would think paying $100 for tamales you'd get the correct flavor, but instead we received mole tamales. Kinda ruined our dinner plans for Christmas Eve. We spoke to the managers several times through phone and their Instagram account. They offered us a gift card to the restaurant or more tamales. Pretty late now to be eating them since they were meant for our family gathering during Christmas. They kept saying they'd email us about our options and now no longer answer their phone. I understand they're a fledgling business, but to keep money for a product that was not rendered properly to the customer shows a lack of integrity.
