Maru Sushi Bridge Street

Went there for my birthday dinner with my brother and sister in law. First time I've ever experienced real sushi and I was in heaven. We ordered 3 different rolls. And each one was better than the next! They also accommodated to my gluten and they made sure they were very careful. Which I super appreciated. Service and staff were great! I can't wait to take my husband there for a dinner date.

Had a really nice atmosphere, the cocktails were very enjoyable and we had a great server. I would have loved to come back here in the future. Unfortunately, nothing on the menu is labeled as gluten free, usually not a big issue with sushi as many items can easily be made gluten free. This was not the case here. The waiter (who did a wonderful job) made me feel as if the modifications we made to our selections wouldn’t be an issue (to be made gluten free). After watching many of the tables around us be seated and then served before us it was clear that wasn’t really the case. When we did finally get our food one of the options wasn’t brought out and we were told we weren’t able to get it because they were out of rice….?! Fortunately we ordered more than we needed and we didn’t go hungry. To be fair, all of the food we got was excellent. Just can not recommend this place to the gluten sensitive.
